The Calouste Gulbenkian Garden – The lost garden of Lisbon

Lisbon full of activities can be exhausting right?
When the city wears you down, but you cannot go far, head to our favorite garden in Lisbon. The Calouste Gulbenkian Garden.

Here the trees grow tall. The ducks swim in the lakes. The birds fly from tree to tree and lots of locals come to escape the city rush.

Designed by António Barreto in 1957, in the Calouste Gulbenkian Garden we can find many green areas, lakes, waterfalls, terraces with garden, reeds, secret pathways and even an outdoor amphitheater (where most reading lovers use to be).

The diversity of plants is huge and to give the feeling of free nature there are all sorts of animals that can be found.

What to do at the Calouste Gulbenkian Garden?

Stroll among the trees and plants. Enjoy an open-air concert. Get mesmerized by a classical music concert with a perfect view. Visit one of the museums surroundings the garden.

Or just simply enjoy and relax and breathe in the fresh air! Visit today
