Cascais started out as a charming little fishing town but it has grown into a high class result town. Known for being the summer retreat of the Portuguese nobility.

The town is just 1 hour outside of Lisbon and easy to reach on the train directly from Cais Do Sodre.

The main beaches in the town are Praia da Ribeira and Praia da Rainha the town beach. A little further north there is Praia do Guincho, the beach is beautiful and wild, the beach is pounded by Atlantic sea so can be a little windy.
