In the heart of Lisbon, a city known for its rich cultural heritage and forward-thinking spirit, we gather to redefine what it means to make music. Junkyard Jams challenges us to rethink our relationship with waste by showcasing the potential hidden in what we often discard. This event is more than just a team-building exercise—it’s a celebration of ingenuity, environmental consciousness, and the power of collaboration.
Participants will use a variety of recycled materials, from scrap metal to plastic bottles, transforming them into instruments that produce unexpected and captivating sounds. Through this creative process, we will explore the endless possibilities of upcycling, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Briefing: A short introduction to the activity, including essential practical details.
Ice-breaker: Engage in body percussion and vocal exercises, foster a joyful environment.
Instrument Creation: Design and build unconventional musical instruments using materials provided by the staff.
Rhythmic and Musical Games: Participate in a variety of rhythmic and musical activities to grasp the roles within an orchestra while enhancing listening and communication skills.
Group Division: Organize the group into different sections, assign musical roles, and develop the rhythm within each section of the orchestra.
Final Performance: Bring together the rhythms from each section for a unified, collaborative performance.

Lisbon has 6 Marinas in Lisbon. The busiest are Doca de Sao Amaro and Doca de Belem, both marinas are located within the tourist and cultural areas of Lisbon. Doca de Sao Amaro is located in Alcantara underneath the famous April 25th bridge and Doca de Belem is located in Belem close to Belem tower, Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the Jerónimos Monastery.
