A hands on beach sports team building experience that brings groups together for a day of fun, sun, friendly competition, and collaboration on the beautiful beaches of Portugal.

Teams take part in a series of engaging beach challenges, including surfing, beach volleyball, bat-and-ball games, and other coastal activities designed to test communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.

More than just a fun activity, this Surf & Beach Sports Challenge promotes resilience, adaptability, and collective problem solving, key skills that translate directly back to the workplace.

Introduction & Safety Briefing
Explanation of rules, time limits, and judging criteria

Beach Sports Challenge Phase
Teams of 4–6 participants
Activities may include:
Surfing (or surf-style balance challenges for all levels)
Beach volleyball tournaments
Bat-and-ball games and relay challenges
Team coordination beach tasks

Goal: Complete a series of surf and beach-based challenges designed to test teamwork, communication, and adaptability using skill, strategy, and collaboration.

Final Challenge & Team Games
Teams compete across a mix of water and beach activities
At least one team member participates in each challenge segment
Performance is assessed through a combination of participation, coordination, and results

Location

The location of the activity is determined by the time of year.

Lisbon
During peak summer season, the event has to take place in Costa da Caparica, either on a public beach or in partnership with our trusted beach bar. When working with our beach bar partner, it is possible to rent beach beds and tables, ensuring a comfortable and well organised experience for guests. Please note that beach bar venues involve additional costs.

Out of peak season it is possible to perform the activity at Carcavelos beach.

Porto

The location of the activity is normally at Praia de Matosinhos
The most popular and practical beach near Porto. Wide, sandy, and great for groups, sports, and surfing.

During peak season the activity may have to be in Vila Nova Da Guia
